The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is committed to using cutting-edge technologies and scientific talent in its quest to make America safer. The DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Explosives Division is tasked with researching and organizing the scientific, engineering, and technological resources of the United States and leveraging these existing resources into technological tools to help protect the homeland. DHS S&T Explosives Division is soliciting proposals for research and development projects that support the Explosives Division's mission of leveraging the nation's scientific, engineering, and technological resources to counter the domestic explosive threat. More specifically, DHS S&T is seeking research for the advancement of canine explosives detection. There are currently areas where knowledge gaps exist regarding canine explosives detection capabilities.
