We (DHS/this site) only collect your personal information, such as your name or address, with your permission. If you choose to submit a proposal to our electronic portal on this site, we will ask for contact information as part of that submission process. We will also offer to store for your convenience your contact information for use by you on future solicitation submissions. This information will not be made available to others visiting the website. You will be issued a password that allows you to call the information back up. You are free to choose to have the information stored only for the purpose of a single solicitation, and thus not available for any other solicitations. The information submitted on the principal investigators and the proposing institutions, as well as the uploaded responses to the solicitations, are protected as private information and are considered sensitive to the solicitation and award process.
We may use the contact information you submit as part of your proposal registration to send notifications to you if there is important information that we think you need to know about the solicitation for which you are registered. In general, these notifications (e.g., schedule shifts or solicitation changes) will also be published at www.fbo.gov .
We will collect information from the proposal submissions on the types of institutions who are participating in the solicitations. We use this information to better understand our interactions with a very important community - the technical community that wants to participate in the research and development of technologies to support homeland security.

Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction consistent with National Archives and Records Administration guidelines.
Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under federal law.
The information posted on Department of Homeland Security websites may include hypertext links or pointers to information created and maintained by other public and/or private organizations. The Department of Homeland Security provides these links and pointers solely for our users' information and convenience.
